Good morning parents and guardians,
We had a good start to the year and are reviewing the school expectations and routines. We are getting into the swing of things and will continue to review and introduce more this week. Each week I will send a newsletter to update you on things that are happening that week. Here’s what’s happening this week.
Mark your calendars for Curriculum night this Tuesday, Aug. 16th from 5:30-6:30pm in our classroom B-202.
MapReading and MapMath assessments are done three times a year to track student progress. We will be doing testing on Monday and Wednesday this week.
Please remember that if you are on campus and are taking pictures of your child, make sure that no other students are in the photo.
Students are taking home a green folder for parent-teacher communication until the school blue folders are delivered. This folder has a weekly communication sheet that you can write notes to me on. This is also a place to track reading minutes for the week. The goal is to read 100 minutes a week (averages to 20 minutes a night during the school week).
