Dear Parents and Families, Thanks you so much for all the wonderful parents who came in and listened to their child share what they are learning in school. I really appreciate you taking time out of your very busy schedule to see what your child is learning and doing in school. I hope to continue to keep you updated this year on what we are doing and how you can help. On Monday, it will be our 100th Day of School. For fun, we are asking if students and teachers could dress up like they are 100 years old. I will then post these pictures on the website. Week Of Learning: Math: Students will continue to work on fractions on a number line, comparing fractions, and whole numbers as a fraction before the District CPA Math Test. Reading: Students will learn about different elements of poetry and locate them in poetry. Students will be introduced to a new book called, Hate That Cat. Writing: Students are reading two articles about video games and determine their opinion on their use. Social Studies: Students are learning about leaders in the civil rights movement. Students read, research, and then present to inform their peers. Science: Students will examine materials within Mock rocks. Students will record or read from the science books. Upcoming Dates: Jan. 22 - Dress Like You're 100 Years!
